Sarah Miller
Piano · Music Theory
Sarah Miller is a Royal Conservatory of Music certified piano teacher. She has been playing piano since the age of seven and has over 35 years of experience teaching music, theory and piano lessons. She has been teaching piano lessons in Paradise, Newfoundland since 2005.
Sarah loves to share her enthusiasm and passion for music. She has a very balanced approach to teaching and uses a basic structure of learning while keeping lessons relaxed, flexible and fun. She loves working with children, getting to know their individual personalities and aptitudes, and tailoring their musical journey to suit their interests.
Sarah believes the goal of lessons is to help each student appreciate and love many types of music and become skilled music makers. She has seen many students reach this goal, and would love to take you on this exciting fun journey of learning!

Emily Pynn
Piano · Music Theory
Emily Pynn is a music student entering her second year at Memorial University of Newfoundland, studying the piano. She has been playing piano for over 15 years and has a very well-rounded musical background. Emily has been a member of several musical groups throughout the years, including concert band, jazz band, many choirs, and several orchestras and chamber groups; and has also accompanied many ensembles including groups from the Shallaway Youth Choir and choirs from Holy Heart of Mary High School. Her first love is the piano, but she is also proficient in many other instruments including but not limited to voice, viola, guitar, and percussion.
Emily has a lot of experience with Conservatory Canada and Royal Conservatory of Music exams, and has taken several exams over the years in both piano and voice, last completing her level 10 piano exam with first class honours in 2021. She is an award-winning instrumentalist and was the winner of the 2022 Kiwanis Junior Instrumental Rose Bowl, as well as the recipient of several scholarships from the Kiwanis Music Festival, Holy Heart of Mary Highschool, and Memorial University.
Emily also has a great love for music theory, and has completed several Royal Conservatory theory exams with first class honours, Advanced Placement Theory with the highest score of 5, and International Baccalaureate Music with the highest score of 7. Emily is very excited to start as a music theory and piano teacher at Sarah’s Studio in the fall and cannot wait to share her love for music making with each child!
